We see the disasters in Japan that have left people without food, water and shelter.  We are seeing food prices soar and riots in the Middle East fueled by astronomical food prices.  We can be wise and store up food that is nutritious, delicious and has a shelf life of 5-30 years.

Most of the foods are freeze dried and actually BETTER than fresh.  The cost is pretty similar as there are multiple servings per can and you can avoid throwing away much of your product to spoilage.  Just rehydrate what you will use.  It’s already washed and cut – no more chopping onions!  An open can will keep about one year.  The food is picked at the height of its flavor (rather than trucking it in to the grocery store when green) and it’s taken down to -50 degrees which also kills pathogens.  There are NO additives, preservatives, sugar, salt, or MSG.  Many are gluten free as well.  And, for some reason the freeze drying makes the milk, cheese, butter and other dairy products NON-ALLERGENIC to most people.
