Baked Beans
Trade in your store-bought beans for a more tasty, homemade variety.

Ingredients
- 1 lb thrive small red beans, washed (or any of the other thrive bean varieties)
- 2 c orange juice
- 2 c water
- 1 cn (8 oz) tomato sauce (or equivalent amount of reconstituted thrive tomato powder)
- 2 T thrive freeze dried chopped onions
- 1⁄4 c molasses
- 2 T worcestershire sauce
- 1⁄4 lb salt pork, cut into small pieces (can use bacon)
Instructions
* Mix all ingredients in a 3 quart oven-proof dish. Cover and bake at 300 degrees for 6 hours or until beans are softened but still slightly firm.
* Increase heat to 325 degrees. Uncover, stir, and continue cooking uncovered for about 30 additional minutes.
* Remove from the oven. Beans should then be soft, but not mushy, and the sauce should be thickened.
