Cheese Blend Macaroni

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 c thrive cheese blend
- 1⁄4 c thrive butter powder or 6 tbsp butter
- 6 T thrive powdered milk, prepared
- 3 c cooked thrive elbow macaroni
Instructions
* Combine cheese blend, butter or butter powder, and milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir and heat to the desired consistency.
* Add cooked macaroni to the saucepan, stirring through until noodles are coated.

Decent, but THRIVE has a better one
I tried four different Shelf Reliance Recipes for Mac and Cheese to see which was best. The back of the cheese blend can, as well as the printed THRIVE cookbook are way to runny and not worth your time. This one was much better, and I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. Nothing amazing, but not bad. Then I did the recipe on the back of the can of Elbow Macaroni. That was the best one for flavor, texture, everything. I've done it with nutmeg and cayenne as well as doing just the familiar salt and pepper.

This is a great tasting recipe!! The only tweak I made was to add a dash of nutmeg to the sauce. Definitely a crowd pleaser, young and old alike.

I made this for my family and they loved it. I did change up a few things, I also added reconstituted mozzarella cheese and added that to the sauce pan and it melted superbly! Poured over the cooked noodles in an oven safe casserole dish and sprinkled the top with a little bit more of the mozzarella cheese over top along with a few pats of butter. I then placed the casserole dish in a preheated 350 oven for 5-10 minutes until I could see alittle browning. YUMMY! You will be adding this to your most loved recipes for FAMILY Dinners!
