Chocolate Chip Cookies
Warm and gooey from the oven, these cookies are bound to disappear in a flash! Save a batch in an airtight container for soft and chewy goodness.

Ingredients
- 2 1⁄2 c thrive white flour
- 1 t thrive baking soda
- 1⁄2 t thrive iodized salt
- 1⁄2 c butter
- 1⁄2 c shortening
- 1 c packed thrive brown sugar
- 1⁄2 c thrive white sugar
- 2 thrive whole eggs, prepared
- 1 1⁄2 t vanilla
- 1 pk (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
* In a medium bowl or stand mixer, beat butter and shortening. Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
* Add eggs and vanilla to bowl. Mix well.
* In a separate bowl, sift dry ingredients together (flour, baking soda, salt).
* Combine wet and dry ingredients, then mix until combined. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
* Drop dough by the teaspoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart, and bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
