Ingredients

  • 2 pk pillsbury crescent rolls (6)
  • 1 c thrive taco tvp (reconstituted with 3/4 c hot water)
  • 1 c thrive black beans, cooked and drained
  • 1⁄2 c thrive corn (reconstituted)
  • 1 cn diced green chiles (4 oz)
  • 1 c thrive cheddar cheese, rehydrated
  • 1 sliced nacho jalapenos (4 oz)
  • 1 c thrive sour cream, rehydrated (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Unroll crescent rolls; separate into 12 triangles. Arrange triangles all facing the same direction (they will need to overlap about half of each other) in a circle, with the wide ends in the center of the circle and the points extending over the edges of a greased cookie sheet. The circle in the center should be about 3-4 inches wide.
2. In a mixing bowl, taco TVP, black beans, cheddar cheese, diced green chiles and corn.
3. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop filling evenly over dough in a continuous circle. Make sure filling is evenly spaced/spread. Bring points of triangles up over filling and tuck under dough at center to form a ring. The filling will show through the spaces left between the triangle placement. Lightly brush dough with egg white. Bake approximately 17-20 minutes or until golden brown.
4. Optional: Before baking, place 1 jalapeno slice on the top of each crescent triangle.
5. Optional: Serve with a dollop of sour cream.
