Meatless Lentil Chili
This vegetarian dish delivers on protein and taste.

Ingredients
- 5 c water
- 1 t thrive iodized salt
- 1 lb thrive lentils
- 1 cn (16 oz) tomatoes or tomato sauce (alternately, 2 c water + 1 c thrive tomato powder)
- 1 pk dry onion soup mix
- 1 1⁄2 t chili powder
- 1⁄2 t cumin
- cilantro (optional)
Instructions
* In a large pan, bring water, salt, and lentils to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.
* Uncover the pan and add all remaining ingredients. Do not drain the water.
* Bring the mixture to a boil once more. Reduce heat and simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
* Serve with corn or tortilla chips and sour cream.
