Oatmeal Cake
This moist, yummy cake is homey without being predictable. In combination with the brown sugar frosting, it's a dessert that can't be beat!

- 1⁄2 c butter
- 1 c thrive quick oats
- 1 1⁄2 c boiling water
- 2 eggs
- 1 c thrive brown sugar
- 1 c thrive white sugar
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 c thrive white flour
- 1 t thrive iodized salt
- 1 t thrive baking soda
- 1 t nutmeg
- 1 t cinnamon
Instructions
* In a medium bowl, combine butter, oatmeal, and boiling water in a bowl; set aside.
* Mix remaining cake ingredients in a separate, large bowl. Once mixed, add the oatmeal mixture and stir.
* Pour batter into a greased cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
