Palestine Stew
Such a homey and delicious recipe doesn't have to take all day! A variety of food storage ingredients make this stew surprisingly easy to make without losing out on taste.

Ingredients
- 1 c thrive lentils
- 1 c whole wheat berries (using thrive hard white winter wheat) *see instructions below*
- 1 large can tomatoes, chopped (or 1 3/4 c thrive tomato powder + 3 1/2 c water)
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1⁄4 c thrive freeze dried chopped onions
- 1⁄4 c thrive carrot dices
- 2 T thrive brown sugar
- 2 T chili powder (more or less, according to taste)
Instructions
*To make wheat berries, simply cook hard white winter wheat in a crock pot on low heat overnight. Add water at a ratio of 2:1 (2 c water to 1 c wheat).*
* Cook lentils and wheat until tender in about 3-4 cups of water for about an hour.
* In a separate pan, brown hamburger and chopped onion; drain.
* Add hamburger and onion, along with all remaining ingredients, to lentils and season to taste. Leave to simmer an additional 1/2 hour.

DON'T use that much tomato
DON'T use that much tomato powder if you go that route! I only added half that and I am still adding water to even it out! I would recommend the tomatoes not the powder. I did add FD sausage and that was great!
