Porcupine Meatballs
Use this recipe for entertaining guests or for a more special addition to your sack lunches.

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 lb lean ground beef
- 1 c cooked, cooled thrive white rice
- 1⁄2 c thrive hard white winter wheat (optional)
- 1⁄2 c thrive quick oats
- 1 thrive whole egg, prepared
- 1⁄4 c finely chopped onion (or 1-2 tbsp thrive freeze dried chopped onions)
- 1 cn tomato sauce
- 1⁄2 c dry bread crumbs
- 3⁄4 t chili powder, divided
- 1 t seasoning salt, divided
- 1⁄4 t black pepper
- 1⁄2 c thrive brown sugar, packed
- 1⁄2 c bottled barbecue sauce
- 1⁄2 c ketchup
- 1 cn tomato soup
Instructions
* First, prepare a sauce by combining brown sugar, barbecue sauce, ketchup, tomato soup, worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp seasoning salt, and 1/2 tsp chili powder. Blend thoroughly. Simmer on medium heat for 3 minutes; set aside.
* Make the meatballs by combining the rest of the ingredients. Mix well, then form into balls (each being about 2 inches in diameter).
* Place formed meatballs into a casserole dish and cover with sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.

You did'nt put how much worcestershire sauce to add.
A good recipe
Thanks for this recipe Rebecca! My family prefers them a bit less sweet, so I cut the brown sugar in half. A great way to use whole grain wheat berries without kids detecting them :)
