Rice Pilaf
It's easy to fix up this colorful rice dish from your food storage.

Ingredients
- 2 c thrive white rice
- 2⁄3 stick of margarine
- 4 c chicken or beef broth, made from thrive bouillon
- 3⁄4 c thrive freeze dried celery
- 3⁄4 c thrive carrot dices
- 3⁄4 c thrive freeze dried chopped onions
- 2⁄3 c slivered almonds
- thrive salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Melt butter in a large skillet. Brown rice lightly in butter. Place in casserole dish with boiling chicken broth. Cover and bake for 1/2 hour at 375 degrees F.
Remove rice from oven and add vegetables and nuts, stirring and mixing well with a fork. Cover and return to oven for an additional 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and fluff with fork before serving.
