Spice up your typical pork or chicken dinner with this Spanish Rice that come straight from your food storage supply.

Ingredients

  • 1⁄4 c thrive freeze dried chopped onions
  • 3⁄4 c thrive red & green bell peppers
  • 1 c water
  • 1 c salsa
  • 1 1⁄2 c thrive instant white rice
  • 3⁄4 c thrive sweet corn, or 1 can corn (14 oz.), drained
  • 1 1⁄2 c chicken broth (1 tsp. thrive chicken bouillon + 1 c. water)
  • thrive salt, to taste

Instructions

* In a skillet, add water, onions, red and green bell peppers and bring to a boil. Cook for about 10 minutes until onions and peppers are rehydrated and soft, and water has boiled off.

* Add corn, salsa, and broth to skillet and bring to a boil. Stir in rice and cover. Simmer for 15 minutes.

* Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork, and enjoy.
