Smoked Turkey & Bean Soup
This great soup is a savory, colorful crowd-pleaser. Try it in place of chicken noodle soup for the ultimate remedy on a sick day.

Ingredients
- smoked turkey drumstick
- 9 c water
- 1⁄3 c thrive split green peas
- 1⁄3 c thrive small white navy beans
- 1⁄3 c thrive pinto beans
- 1⁄3 c thrive kidney beans
- 1⁄3 c great northern beans
- 2 T thrive freeze dried chopped onions
- 2 1⁄2 t thrive chicken bouillon
- 1⁄2 t cumin
- 1⁄4 t garlic powder
- 1⁄2 c thrive carrot dices
- 1⁄2 c thrive freeze dried celery
Instructions
* In a large stockpot, heat water and all of the above ingredients (excluding drumstick) to the boiling point. Boil for 2 minutes, then remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 1 hour.
* Add smoked turkey drumstick.
* Heat to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for about 2 hours or until beans are tender.
* Remove drumstick from pot and remove meat with tongs or fork. The meat will be tender to almost fall off the bone. Cut meat into bite-sized pieces and add back into the bean soup.
* Serve with biscuits or cornbread.
