Graphic Design Intern

Shelf Reliance is looking for a graphic design intern to spend six months in house, working on web content and marketing materials. Ideal candidate should be creative, hard-working, motivated, and communicative. Ability to meet deadlines is a must.

Full-time availability is preferred, but flexible hours will be considered; students are welcome to apply. Applicants should be comfortable with pre press and print files, as well as creating artwork for the web. Interviewing and hiring will be based largely on portfolio quality.

Primary responsibilities:
- creating new and attractive designs for use online and in print
- overseeing design projects from conception to completion
- working with company design team under the supervision of senior graphic designer

Applicants should have experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Basic HTML knowledge is a plus, as is familiarity with Flash and Dreamweaver. We’re after a self-starter and good communicator who is able to manage multiple projects successfully.

Compensation is $10-$12 per hour, depending on experience and ability. Position lasts for six months, beginning April 1^st and ending in September. Position extension may be possible.
