What can sizes can I store and rotate?

We have three track sizes that will store and rotate almost any can. Small tracks will hold cans like tuna, soup, and vegetables (up to 17 cans in each track). Medium tracks will hold medium size cans like chunk chicken and large fruit cans (up to 11 cans in each track). Medium tracks will also hold small cans. Large tracks will hold every size can, from small to gallon size (#10) cans. When you choose your system select the proper configuration and number of tracks that will work for the cans you plan to store and rotate.

Please note: Units with an 18" depth cannot hold gallon size (#10) cans.

How many cans will my unit hold?

The total number of cans supported in your Shelf Reliance system largely depends on the size(s) of cans you plan to store. If you store and rotate only #10 cans in your system, the number of cans you can store will significantly decrease over small cans of tuna or tomato paste. The standard configuration of our Harvest 72" unit will hold approximately 480 cans.

Please check our website for the standard configuration and number of cans each of our smaller systems will hold.

Keep in mind that the total number of cans varies from home to home, as no two individuals store and rotate the same food. For this reason, Shelf Reliance units are adjustable and customizable, allowing you to store a variety of cans in one system and raise or lower your can capacity to suit your needs.

Do I need a lot of space to store my unit?

Shelf Reliance offers a variety of different products that will fit virtually any space. Our smaller CanSolidator line or 27" rotation systems are perfect for small apartments, RV's, and locations without large storage capacity. For larger spaces, Shelf Reliance Food Rotation Systems are an ideal solution. Every unit sits flush against solid surfaces, eliminating wasted space and allowing you to maximize your storage space.

Can I change my track configuration?

Yes! Shelf Reliance tracks are adjustable and interchangeable. For new orders, tracks can be exchanged for a small fee. Additional tracks can also be purchased for older units. To customize your order, please contact a Shelf Reliance representative by calling 877-743-5373. To change the track configuration on an order that has already been placed, please print out an exchangeform and send it with the item you'd like to exchange. We'll call you to confirm your exchange upon receipt of your package.

I don't have any #10 cans.

Shelf Reliance Food Rotation Systems are perfect for all can sizes. Because our tracks are adjustable and customizable we can often exchange tracks that won't work for you. We also have several units whose standard configuration does not include tracks for large cans. Ask about 18" depth Food Rotation Systems which offer a great alternative to the 24" depth systems.

What if I buy a system that doesn't fit in my space?

Shelf Reliance has several units and options that will accommodate most needs and living spaces. If you receive a unit that does not work, you may exchange your unit for a more suitable match. There are no penalty charges associated with any exchange; however, you will need to pay all shipping charges and any difference in price associated with your exchange. How do I adjust the tracks to fit different cans?

Can tracks are easy to adjust. Simply unclip the track braces and move the tracks as needed. When you have reached your desired width, clip the tracks back into place. Once complete, test this adjustment by loading a can and watching it roll. A successful fit allows an undamaged can to roll freely and easily from the back to the draw slot.

Helpful hint: Allow 1/4 inch on each side of the can to ensure smooth movement.

Will jars or water bottles rotate in these units?

Our rotation systems do not currently support jars or water bottles. We do, however, offer side shelves that easily attach to any FRS. Our side shelves offer an excellent way to maximize your storage. They are also sturdy and easy to attach.

How can I store my boxed food?

Once you have cleared your cans into on of our space-saving systems, your pantry will allow you to store your boxes with ease. Our side shelves are also great for storing boxes and bulkier food items.
