BLACKBERRY BUCKLE
 
INGREDIENTS:



1 cup THRIVE Flour

1 cup THRIVE Sugar (divided)

1 tsp. THRIVE Baking Powder 

1/2 tsp. THRIVE Salt (divided)

3 Tbs. butter (using THRIVE Butter Powder)

4 cups THRIVE Freeze-dried Blackberries

2 Tbs. THRIVE Powdered Sugar

1 Tbs. cornstarch

1 cup boiling water

PREPARATION:

Preheat oven to 350º. Mix flour, ½ cup sugar, baking powder and ¼ tsp. salt in a large bowl. Add the melted butter and mix well. Stir blackberries with 2 Tbs. water into flour mixture. Mix well. Pour into greased large baking dish or casserole dish*. Mix remaining sugar, powdered sugar, and cornstarch in another bowl. Stir in milk and the remaining salt. Spoon over berry mixture. Pour boiling water over the top; do not stir. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream. *VARIATION: Instead of making one large desert, bake in smaller oven proof ramekins or dishes to make dainty desert treats.
