Preparation Instructions:
Boil 2 cups water. Add 1 spice packet and 1 ¹⁄³ cups Vegetable Risotto dry mix. Stir well, cover and remove from heat. Allow to stand for 15 minutes. Stir and serve. Makes 2 servings.
Note: If preparing with cold water, rehydration can take up to two hours.

Storage Conditions
Temperature: Storing THRIVE at a high temperature can significantly increase the speed that calories and vitamins will degrade over time. In the correct storage container, low-moisture foods such as THRIVE can be stored at room temperature or cooler (75 degrees Fahrenheit or lower) and remain nutritious and edible for years. Our stated shelf life assumes that the product will be stored in optimal conditions.
Humidity: The effects of humidity on a closed can are caused by heat and very similar to the effects of high temperature (see above). High humidity can corrode the cans and in some cases even cause the cans to leak. Areas with high humidity can reduce the opened shelf life of the product. As humidity varies with location please use your own discretion to prevent possible sickness from eating spoiled food.
Damaged Container: Minor dents in the center of the can are usually just a cosmetic issue. However, a can that has been dented near or on a seam can have a compromised air-tight seal and allow oxygen to enter the can. If this is the case we recommend using the dented can within the specified opened shelf life, rather than closed.
The best way to maintain the highest quality of your THRIVE products is to take care of them. If you intend on storing your food for the sealed shelf life, store the cans in a place that is not open to elements such as water, light, and air. Take care of it. Don't expose it unnecessarily to the elements. Also, be sure to keep the temperature and humidity low and even. Under these proper storing situations your THRIVE will maintain its delicious taste, natural coloring, and proper nutrients.

Loved it!
Super dish!! I loved it. I have used it as an entree and also a main dish by adding meat to it. Kinda like hamburger helper. If you use freeze dried meat in it you can have dinner on the table in just a few minutes. That's what I did the other night and it was a blessing! Plus the kids loved it and it's good for you too. What more can you ask for?

filling
This was very filling. I made it along side of a small piece of fish for everyone and we were all full. The veggies held their shape and texture good. Having a little crisp from the almonds was nice. It was nice and creamy. I too would like a tiny bit more flavor but I would buy this again. You can make 6 batches out of one container.

Excellent!
I'm not new to food storage, but I am new to the Thrive brand. My husband has always hated food storage--too many meals that all tasted the same. He also hates pre-mixed meals. We tried the risotto tonight and I must say, it's delicious! I didn't expect it to be awful, by any means, but I was really surprised by all the different textures! The rice was tender, but the vegetables were still crisp. It didn't taste like it'd come out of a can at all. My husband even liked it; he said it was "creamy" and the vegetables reconstituted well. In his opinion, it needed a little more flavor, and suggested that, next time, we substitute vegetable stock for water. Overall, though, we both agreed that it's excellent!

excellent meal
I recently ordered a can of this just to try and I was really impressed. The flavor was great and I would be happy to serve it to guests. Too often vegetarian entrees seem more like side dishes than a main course but not this.

Oh sooooo good
No complaints here! Everyone loves it and it is healthy too.
Just wish everything came in a pantry can so we could sample without using the expensive #10 cans! It makes for a very expensive home meal.Quality Jennifer in TX 1/10/11
